Finger splints

Initial situation

Customization is of great importance in the development of aids for limited finger mobility. Many solutions available on the market often only offer a standard size that does not take into account the specific requirements of the individual. This can lead to suboptimal support and, in the worst case, to a worsening of the condition. For this reason, I decided to develop a customized finger splint that is specifically tailored to the individual.

Solution

I started with the 3D printed finger splints available on Printables, which were helpful for the initial measurement as they are already labeled with the diameter of the fingers. However, for my specific requirements, I had to redesign the models as a whole. The remodeling included resizing to the exact measurements of each joint and adding custom labels for easier identification of each customized splint.

As each splint is custom-made, I do not offer standardized models for download. If you are interested or have any questions about customization and production, please do not hesitate to contact me.
